On Saturday 3rd September, friends, customers and staff of John Shaw Equestrian marched as part of Flixton Carnival and took 1st place in the parade's float competition

John Shaw, in true Clint Eastwood style, donned his poncho and cowboy hat and drove his decorated tractor and trailer filled with cowboys, cowgirls and a horse! Accompanying on foot was another posse, to hand out sweets to the local crowds who lined the streets.

Before setting off along the parade route, the judges declared JSE as their 2011 commercial float winner! A much deserved reward for a tremendous team effort. A photographer from the local paper took pictures and interviews, so perhaps we'll be seeing JSE in the news again soon! Watch this space...

As the parade made its way through Flixton, Urmston and Davyhulme, local children were overjoyed to see our horse waving to them from the trailer, to the excited cries of "Yee-har!"

A great day was had by all and everyone at John Shaw Equestrian would like to say a big well done and massive thank you to all who helped and came along to support or join the parade team. Special congratulations go to Lauren Clegg and Danielle Goddard for winning John's own Best Dressed competition!
